Ebury closed or froze your business account: what its terms say
As of October 9, 2026, these are Ebury’s own words on closing accounts: the notice it gives, the reasons it names and where a complaint can go next.
Notice before closing
10.1 Subject to Clauses 10.2, 10.3 and 10.5, either party may terminate this Agreement at any time without reason by giving at least five … Business Daysʼ prior written notice to the other.
Reasons it names for closing or suspending an account
10.2 We may terminate this Agreement on any day with immediate effect, without giving notice to you if we consider (in our sole and absolute discretion): (a) that you become a Restricted Party; (b) that you are using our Services fraudulently, inappropriately or for illegal purposes; … (j) that your conduct is disreputable or is capable of damaging our reputation (or the reputation of our Affiliates) by association; … (m) that you are no longer suitable to receive the Services; … (o) that our relationship with you presents a business risk to us or any of our Affiliates.
Complaints and where to go next
12.4 If your complaint remains unresolved (in particular, if you are a Micro-Enterprise or Charity), you may be entitled to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service ("FOS").
These are the provider’s published terms, not legal advice. Your own agreement and the law where your company is may give you more.
