How we read providers’ published rules

Every answer on Banxta rests on a rule a provider publishes about itself. This page explains what we read, what each answer means, and how to tell us when a page has changed.

What we read

A provider’s own pages: eligibility pages, help-centre articles, terms of business and acceptable-use policies. A rule counts only when the provider publishes it on its own site.

Each rule is stored with the exact quote, the link to the page it comes from and the date it was read. Provider pages show all three.

Each provider’s licence is checked on its regulator’s public register. A provider appears on the site only while that check found the licence active and is no more than 30 days old.

What the answers mean

Will not accept
The provider’s page names the activity among those it does not serve.
Not for unlicensed businesses
The provider excludes the activity only when the business has no licence for it.
With conditions
The page says the provider serves the activity, with conditions such as a licence, a plan or extra checks. Enhanced due diligence counts here.
Yes
The page says the provider serves the activity and publishes no condition.
Depends on the activity
The provider publishes rules for parts of a business type but none for all of it. The page lists each part.
Not stated
The page touches the subject without settling it.
Sources disagree
Published sources say different things. We quote each one with its date instead of choosing between them.

Third-party sources

Sometimes only a review or a news article says that a provider accepts a business type. We show that as “according to a third-party source”, never as the provider’s published policy. An exclusion never rests on a third-party source.

When a provider publishes nothing

For most business types, most providers publish no rule either way. No published rule is not a yes: ask the provider in writing before you pay an application or review fee.

Dates

Every quote carries the date it was last found on the provider’s page. An answer that rests on several quotes carries the oldest of their dates.

What Banxta does not do

Banxta does not predict whether an application will succeed, and shows no percentages or odds. Each provider decides on an application itself.

Corrections

If a provider’s page now says something different, or a provider has accepted or declined you recently, write to info@banxta.app with the link to the page. We re-check the source.

Based on providers’ published policies. No provider pays for placement. Facts carry the date they were last verified. Policies change; re-check before applying if a date is older than 90 days
