Wise Business closed or froze your business account: what its terms say
As of October 9, 2026, these are Wise Business’s own words on closing accounts: the notice it gives, the reasons it names and where a complaint can go next.
Notice before closing
9.7 We may end this Agreement by giving you two (2) months’ notice. We may terminate this Agreement and close your Wise Account or any Services associated with it by giving you two (2) months’ prior notice, where required.
Reasons it names for closing or suspending an account
8.4 We may suspend your Wise Account or your access to our Services. We may suspend your Profile or Wise Account, or restrict its functionality if we have reasonable concerns about:
(a) the security of your Wise Account or your Profile.
(b) suspected unauthorised or fraudulent use of your Wise Account or our Services; or
(c) suspected violations of this Agreement or the Additional Documents, including our Acceptable Use Policy.
Complaints and where to go next
If you don't agree with our final response, you can make a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). … As a company in the EEA, you can also contact the Ombudsfin for all dispute types if you're a legal entity pursuing a non-profit purpose, a small company, or a micro-company. If your business has a different status than previously mentioned, you can contact the Ombudsfin for certain disputes only — namely those concerning cross-border payments within the European Union, execution of credit, and interchange fees on card payment transactions.
These are the provider’s published terms, not legal advice. Your own agreement and the law where your company is may give you more.
