Relay closed or froze your business account: what its terms say
As of October 9, 2026, these are Relay’s own words on closing accounts: the notice it gives, the reasons it names and where a complaint can go next.
Notice before closing
We may also suspend or close your Account, or suspend, or disable any service or feature of your Account, at our discretion with or without notice.
Reasons it names for closing or suspending an account
This includes if we believe you are using your Account for fraudulent or illegal purposes or in violation of law or regulation, this Agreement, any other agreement you may have with us or Unit, if multiple transactions are returned on your Account, or if you otherwise present undue risk to us or our third-party service providers.
Complaints and where to go next
You can escalate to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). File a complaint at consumerfinance.gov/complaint.
These are the provider’s published terms, not legal advice. Your own agreement and the law where your company is may give you more.
