Bank of America closed or froze your business account: what its terms say
As of October 9, 2026, these are Bank of America’s own words on closing accounts: the notice it gives, the reasons it names and where a complaint can go next.
Notice before closing
You or we may close your checking or savings account at any time without advance notice, except that we may require you to give us seven days advance notice when you intend to close your savings or interest-bearing checking account by withdrawing your funds.
Reasons it names for closing or suspending an account
If your account becomes overdrawn and you don’t repay us, we may close your account.
Complaints and where to go next
You and we agree that all disputes relating to a business account will be resolved by binding arbitration as described in this section.
These are the provider’s published terms, not legal advice. Your own agreement and the law where your company is may give you more.
