As of October 9, 2026, these are Xapo Bank’s own words on closing accounts: the notice it gives, the reasons it names and where a complaint can go next.
Notice before closing
18.5 Xapo Bank is entitled to close your Xapo Account and terminate our Agreement by providing you with two months’ written notice.
Reasons it names for closing or suspending an account
18.6 We may also close your Xapo Account immediately and without notifying you of our decision if any of the following happens: … c) We do not have sufficient information to operate your Xapo Account or it turns out you were not entitled to open a Xapo Account in the first place;
